The Simplest Way To Create A Christmas Special Event Within A School Room
As we all know, Christmas is a very popular time of year for a lot of people. Children like Christmas because of how many presents they get, and the adults like it for the joy and goodwill that surrounds the air and for the presents too. Christmas, could be a sensitive subject to celebrate in the classroom, but if you plan well in advanced and you allow for the parents concerns, the Winter holidays, and Christmas can be a great celebrations for both the teachers and the students.
Organize your event in advanced, and get permission from the school to allow you to have the celebrations. There are many schools that don’t celebrate Christmas because of the religious element associated with it. If you don’t get permission you may want to do a Winter holidays celebrations as an alternative.
Get in contact with the parents and let them know whats going on. This can all be explained in a letter, you can tell them about your ideas for the Christmas party or Winter part, including when the party is going to happen, what time, and where. Allow some room on the letter, to let the parents offer any concern or objections to the idea. Highlight that the party is a fun time for all, and it is a great way to celebrate the holiday together.
Organize some lessons around the season. For example, if you do plan on celebrating Christmas, then create a class around how other countries celebrate what Christmas is, and how Santa will show up at your home. If you are just doing celebrations on the Winter Holidays idea, then you may want to provide a lesson in Kwanzaa and any other December holidays.
Allow for the students to participate in the decoration for the event. Allow for some time allocated in the class to get them to make the decorations for the party. These decorations could be Christmas tree ornaments, snowflakes for the walls and garlands. This will help get the students excited about the event. Discuss with them what food they should bring to the party, and what games they would like to play as well.
You may want to get the students to bring a present in for the homeless as well. This will need to be discussed with the parents, and the school first. This will help the students to understand what Christmas is all about, and how Christmas is a celebration of giving and receiving.
Before the party, suggest to the students to bring in some music for the celebrations. This will help with the party and get the festive spirit going. It can either be Christmas music or normal music the choice will be between you and the students. If you cannot get the students to bring in the music, you may have to provide it yourself. You may also want to get the students to dress up as well.
