Sunday Markets : Relax While You Hunt For That Special Something
You wake feeling alive and well rested and now you are on your way to your most favorite place in town. Yes it’s the flea market. You have your comfortable shoes on and your senses are well tuned to get that special item or that exquisite hand made dress you were hoping to lay your hands on.
You will me amazed at what you can find at such an event. Say for instance you want to redecorate a room in your house, you will find many items like curtains and exquisite antique lamps or just a beautiful rug to throw down on the floor. There are untold treasures for you to hunt down and buy at bargain prices. They usually have big exhibits of fabulous fashion jewelry to whet your appetite.
They are not just places where you can browse around in, they are also great rendezvous for neighbors or friends. You will always find something to eat or drink from a stall or from someone’s trailer, neatly decorated and offering real homemade pie.
At these markets you will come across all sorts of people, from young and old. You could bump into your mayor and his wife or just a biker with his black helmet and leather pants who dropped by for a quick browse. You will find antique dealers and professional bargain hunters, so the competition could become quite tough.
Many housewives will attest that they find really good kitchen utensils that are almost new, but at a fraction of the cost you would pay in a store. Things like a Hamilton Beach food processor can be bought for a cheap price.
A flea market or as many also call them open door markets, can be held on a Saturday or a Sunday. Usually the norm is a Sunday, because it is a day where the whole family is likely to be together. They are sometimes held once every month or fortnightly. Some towns have standard flea markets which are open daily from Monday to Sunday and on public holidays as well.
Antique objects or furniture pieces are also sold at flea markets so you will not be disappointed if you are looking for a special piece to fill a corner or a spot on the wall. Many art dealers and antique dealers use flea markets as a source to scout for that special item which nobody else wants.
